History does not lie. The entire history of humanity is available to everyone, and all of it is full of lessons and warnings. Some people simply repeat the very same methods only in modern form.
In the midst of war, There is no time for surprise.
To strike at evildoers, You must understand how they operate, So that none of their actions astonish you.
Long ago, there was a king ruling in China who had two sons. The elder son was ready to assume power, but the king favored his younger son. So he looked for a way to rid himself of the elder. According to the custom of that time, he sent the elder son as a hostage to the court of a rival ruler. In those days, giving one’s child as a hostage was a guarantee that no attack would come from your side. The king devised a plan to make it appear that, during a conflict, his son was killed in the land where he lived as a hostage.
But not everything went according to plan. The son escaped and survived. When he returned, the father pretended to be happy that his eldest son was alive and, as a reward for his bravery, granted him a command position. But this was merely for public relations. The elder son understood exactly what had happened, and his heart filled with hatred.
He decided to kill his father. But the circumstances were not simple his father had many supporters and defenders. So he needed to select people who would not hesitate if told, “Strike my father.” To identify such men, he crafted a special arrow, its tip carved so that when fired it produced a whistling sound. During training, he used this arrow and told his men: “Wherever you hear the whistle of my arrow, shoot your arrows in that exact direction.”
First, he chose several animals as targets. All the men followed the whistling sound and struck precisely where he aimed.
Next, he aimed at his own horse. This time, a few men hesitated. It seemed wrong to them to kill their commander’s horse. Those who hesitated were executed on the spot.
Then he aimed at his father’s horse. Again, some hesitated and they too were immediately executed.
Next, he aimed at his own wife. Many could not bring themselves to do it. Who would kill their commander’s wife? Once again, all who hesitated were executed.
In the end, only a very small number remained. He was now certain that these men would strike anything he ordered. With complete confidence, he commanded them to shoot his father and they did. After that, he also killed his younger brother and achieved exactly what he had wanted.
So anyone who stands against the people has not arrived there by chance or accident. Every single one has passed through a filter not administrative filters,
but the filter of whistling arrows.
